The 2016 Montagna Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a new addition to Hall's collection. The Montagna Vineyard is located on Pritchard Hill at the edge of the Vaca range, and offers some of the most intimate looks onto the valley floor. This is an instant success for Hall, as this stunning wine offers highly perfumed aromatics with black currants, violets, black tea, exotic spices and dusty mountain terroir that all take shape beautifully in the glass. There is a wonderful elegance to the wine, as it goes on to impress with a silky texture that beautifully coats the mid-palate and leaves behind flavors of blackberry cobbler, creosote, black tea and shades of espresso bean, which linger on the long finish. To sum it up, this is an absolutely sensational wine from Hall that should go on to have an exceedingly long evolution ahead.
