The 2017 Rice-Spivak Vineyard Pinot Noir from LaRue is simply gorgeous. It opens with lovely aromatics of pretty red fruits and citrus rind that mingle with flowers, mint, herbs and black tea. The palate has a gorgeous mouthfeel and wonderful silky, refined texture, with a core red currant, bing cherry and blood orange zest flavors that are underlined by beautful acidity keeping this fresh and inviting through the finish. Sensational now with extended air contact, however I can only imagine this will continue to evolve exceptionally over the course of the next decade.
