The 2019 'Incubo' is a monumental wine in this vintage. The wines is composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc sourced from Pott's Estate "Chateauneuf-du-Pott" Vineyard situated 1400 feet up on Mount Veeder, near the neighborhood of Mayacamas and Promontory. As far as the wine itself, it instantly bursts open with seductive aromatics of ripe blackcurrants and blackberries, which are joined together by violets, tobacco and dusty loam, along with hints of dark cocoa all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied with a gorgeous rich, velvety texture and outstanding depth. This shows notable power, yet remains well balanced, as it delivers layers of ripe dark fruits, dark chocolate and spice flavors that continue to build on the palate, before heading into the long, voluptuous finish. While it is already simply outstanding, the 2019 Incubo also possesses the potential to offer an extreamely long drinking window. This has the all the hallmarks of a perfect, but a bit of patience will be required.
