The Ca' Togni is a sweet wine, made from a small planting of the rare table grape Black Hamburgh on the Togni Estate, which is the only one planting currently known in Napa County. It begins with a fresh aromatic profile of sweet blackberries, macerated red plums and cranberries along with floral, spices crushed stones, black tea and even hints of orange zest like nuances. On the palate this is beautifully balanced and concentrated, with lovely underlying acidity that keeps it fresh and a lively through the finish. Delicious now and should also evolve beautifully in the cellar.
