100% Malbec from the Southwind Vineyard, it’s aged for a total of 20 months (10 months on the lees) in 50% new French oak barrels. Brooding dark purple cored with a neon red rim in the glass, the Malbec from Devison is always a yummy example of the variety from Washington. Classic notes of crushed blueberries, boysenberries, iron ore, ground black peppercorn, dried earth, and dried violets flowers. Ripe and crunchy tannins deliver a full-bodied finish that ends with wonderful blue fruits and a rich, layered finish. Better in 2025. Pete Devison outdid himself with this one. Just 100 cases made. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
