Cold soaked and fermented on the skins for a period of time then moved to amphora for the remainder of fermentation and elevage, this staggering Marsanne from Weathereye has classic notes of ripe yellow apples, fresh pineapple and quince fruits as well as secondary characteristics of honeyed almond clusters and dried hay. Rich, full-bodied, oily and charming on the palate, it’s a touch hot on the finish but I would drink this with a nice roasted chicken and it will really shine. Only 75 cases produced.
