The 2017 'Bryn' is another sensational release from PerUs in this vintage. It is composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon from Tench Vineyard and 20% Merlot from Sugar Loaf. It displays an impressive dark opaque color and opens to a deep, expressive aromatic profile with profound nuances of dark cherries, blackberries, exotic spices, cedar, mocha and hints of loam which all burst from the glass. The palate is full-bodied, round and voluptuous, with a deep concentrated core of ripe dark fruits, dark chocolate and spices that resonate throughout the wine. It is impeccably structured, with a wonderful combination of power and finesse, which continues all the way through the long seamless finish. This is sensational now, but should also offer a drinking window that spans nearly two decades.
