A blend of 98% Syrah that is co-fermented with 2% Viognier that comes from four different vineyards that all lend specific characteristics to the wine. It’s very meaty and savory on the nose with roasted beef ribs, boysenberry, crushed black olive, cracked black pepper, iodine, and pencil shavings. The palate is more savory than fruity which is much like the nose, with the addition of some black plum and dried cedary herbs that round out the lovely finish. Drink now or over the next 8 years or so.
