Aged for approximately 11 months in 22% new French oak, the fabulous Bunker Hill Chardonnay from Lingua Franca delivers a medium lemon core with a watery rim in the glass. Boasting flinty notes to start, it quickly evolves into glorious aromas of honey-coated pear, Meyer lemon, crushed stone minerality, honeysuckle, white tea, and toasted tree nuts. It’s one of those rare wines that you can sit and enjoy the nose for an hour without even taking a sip. Elegant acidity helps elongate the crunchy and earthy finish. Just 634 cases made. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
