The 2012 Grolleau is a beautiful showing from Clau de Nell, offering bright aromas of black raspberry and black berries followed by fresh violets, minerals and black tea leaf which all come together as this slowly begins to unwind in the glass. This medium-bodied red continues to impress on the palate with lovely focus, balance and vibrant acidity that takes it all the way through the mouthwatering finish. This age worthy Grolleau will need some additional bottle age before it hits full-stride, but that being said there is already so much to like here. (Best 2018-2027) - January, 2015 (JD)
