The 2009 Snowden "The Ranch" shows beautiful elegance and purity. Delivering freshly crushed dark cherries, sweet cassis, mineral, spice, mocha and even pretty floral notes showing. This has a tightly wound core with polished tannins and a really nice finish picking up some hints of bell pepper and chocolate notes. This does need a bit more time in the cellar or a serious decant at the absolute minimum if you can't resist. Snowden has become one of my favorite Cabernets from Napa and this is another one to add to the list. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18.2% Cabernet Franc and 6.8% Petit Verdot.
