GORMAN WINERY 'The Evil Twin' 2009

2012 TOP 50 WINES - Rank #5
The 2009 Gorman Winery Evil Twin is an absolute monster of a wine, it's dense, rich and concentrated with a hefty dosage of freshly crushed dark currants, cassis, plum reduction, smoke, chocolate, peppered beef, wet rock, violets and some warm toasty notes. An unbelievable display of depth and power with a unique mouth coating texture that finishes off ultra-long, juicy and absolutely delicious. The blend is composed of 70% Syrah and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon which is aged 21 months in 100% New French Oak. This is a mouthful of Red Mountain fruit and needs a few hours of air time to really unwind. (Best 2013-2025) - November, 2012 (JD)
