The 2010 Bodegas El Nido 'El Nido' is dark and brooding offering complex aromas of dark currant, cassis, espresso, chocolate, exotic spices, pepper, tar, graphite and fresh lavender. Full-bodied, plush and dense showing amazing power, depth and concentration. The supple finish doses out a ton of dark fruit and spice flavors that linger on and on. While not as approachable as its younger sibling 'Clio', the El Nido will require some additional time in the bottle, but it certainly has the makeup to become special. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Monastrell.
