2013 Top 100 - Rank # 80
From the Brunate vineyard situated at the border of Barolo and La Morra, the 2008 'Le Brunate' is elegant and refined, offering aromas of dried cherries, licorice, smoke and dusty minerals. On the palate this is quite rich, with underlying acidity that is backed by fine tannins and long chewy finish. This is really holding back right now, but once this is ready to go it will be special. Patience will be rewarded and it may even merit another point in time. (Best 2018-2035)) - March, 2013 (JD)
