The 2011 Guidalberto brings pretty aromas of freshly crushed blackberries, spring florals, crushed stones, spices, herbs and hints of chocolate. Full-bodied with a silky texture, polished tannins and underlying acidity that keeps this lively as it heads into the juicy finish. This blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot is still in its youth right now and will require some short-term cellaring or lengthy contact with air at the very least, that being said this is a delicious wine from the Tenuta San Guido family at an approachable price.
