The 2010 'Le Serre Nuove' from Tenuta dell'Ornellaia is composed of 57% Merlot, 17 Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petit Verdot and 12% Cabernet Franc. It brings amazing aromas of black cherry and currants followed by roasted coffee, pain grille, spices, leather and herbs. The tightly wound structure is backed by fine, soft, polished tannins. This finishes up long and supple, laced with dark fruits and savory notes. It needs some time but there is no doubt this is an incredible, age-worthy wine from Tenuta dell'Ornellaia.
