The 2007 'Collepiano' delivers aromas of blackberries, dried cherries, tobacco leather, mint leaves and licorice, which burst from the glass. This shows remarkable structure and firm tannic core which leads to the long chewy finish. A bit tight right now and will require a few additional years of of bottle age to soften up, but overall a fantastic Sagrantino. (Best 2016-2026) - March, 2014 (JD)
