RAMEY WINE CELLARS Chardonnay, Platt Vineyard 2011

The 2011 Platt vineyard is an absolutely thrilling Chardonnay, pretty and elegant, with Asian pear, vanilla blossom, spicy floral, lemon zest and minerals. This shows the most tension of all the 2011’s from Ramey. It possesses wonderful freshness and terrific balance with vibrant acidity. The mineral driven finish is zesty, crisp and mouth watering making this hard to resist. This Wente clone Chardonnay comes from Ramey’s coolest vineyard site and it is also the most Burgundian in style. Approachable today, yet probably the most age worthy of the 2011’s from David Ramey.
