The 2011 ‘Solengo’ is gorgeous, bursting with fresh blueberries and black berries followed by spices, crushed violets, fresh minerals and a hint of cocoa. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and polished with an underlying layer of acidity providing a sense of freshness that carries over into the long caressing finish. If approaching now be sure to allow extended air contact, as this is still youthful and will require additional time in the bottle to flesh out. Composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah/Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. (Best 2015-2027) - July, 2014 - (JD)
