UVAGGIO Primitivo 2011

Winemaker Jim Moore, sources his fruit from the Bella Vigna Vineyard in Lodi. This Primitivo with a dash of Barbera is aged for 9 months in a combination of 15% new Hungarian oak and 85% once used French oak barrels. It delivers ripe red berries, baking spices, raisin and crushed cherries. Medium-bodied, is well structured with a zesty blast of spice and cherry preserves on the palate with pure ripe fruits that carry into the finish. Drink it now or over the next five years.
