MASSICAN 'Annia' 2013

Winemaker Dan Petroski, has released another stunning vintage of his Annia. This gorgeous blend of 44% Tocai Friulano, 36% Ribolla Gialla and 20% Chardonnay would be typically found in Fruli rather than Napa Valley.  However, it does not disappoint, offering intoxicating aromas of golden apple, bosc pear, herb, flinty mineral, honey and white floral, which all come together beautifully in the glass. It possesses a lovely round texture with a great mouth feel as it finishes with pure fruit and lively acidity. This is a fantastic offering from Massican and extremely impressive to see these Italian varietals thrive in Napa Valley. (Best 2014-2020) - July, 2014 - (MD)
