The 2012 ‘Cuvée Prestige’ is another fantastic effort from the Roméro Family. It delivers wonderful aromas of fresh raspberries and roasted plums are followed by spices, pepper, earth, smoke, cocoa, lavender and wild herbs. It offers an incredible velvety texture along with excellent structure and balance. This continues to impress all the way through the long finish, which delivers another burst of dark berries and a heavy dose of spice that lingers. Although there are many things to like about the wine today, it still requires some more time and will be even better in just a few years. (Best 2016-2025) - September, 2014 (JD)
