The 2014 'Descarte' is an inky colored wine, which begins with toasty oak and dark fruits on the nose. The palate has nice richness and tension. Dark cherries, roasted fig and mocha flavors come to mind as the wine builds in the glass, before folding in dark chocolate and dark fruits on the finish. This is an excellent value which offers immediate appeal.
