The 2015 Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay is another outstanding wine from David Ramey in this vintage. This beautiful Chardonnay is a selection of Wente, Robert Young and Long field clones, from Ramey's blocks planted in 1991 and 1997. As the wine itself begins to open, it releases inviting aromas of Meyer lemon, golden apple, ripe peach and green mango, followed by notes of buttered almond and white flowers. It possesses a simply gorgeous mouth coating texture, with beautiful ripe fruits and lovely underlying acidity, which provides wonderful freshness through the finish. This is a simply delicious Chardonnay which should remain accessible for years to come.
