The 2015 'Annum' begins with inviting aromas of crème de cassis and macerated cherries, along side tobacco, spices, violets, graphite, anise and licorice, which all come together and soar from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied with excellent depth and concentration. It displays a wonderful velvety, opulent texture, which is layered with ripe dark fruits, baking spices and tobacco flavors that continue to expand seamlessly through the long, voluptuous finish. While showing remarkably well now, this should also continue to drink beautifully for years to come. Another excellent wine from David Ramey in this vintage.
