The 2016 Lutum Sanford & Benedict Vinyard Pinot Noir is a fantastic showing from winemaker Gavin Chanin. It begins with seductive aromas of black cherries, dark plums and red berries woven together with dried flowers, exotic spices and forest floor. On the palate this is medium-bodied with remarkable elegance and focus. It continues to impress with generous layers of juicy red and dark fruits, which combine with exotic spices flavors that persist through the long, structured finish. This is a Pinot Noir that should be cellared for 2-3 years and will be fantastic over the next decade plus.
