The GKG Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Merlot, 1% Malbec which was sourced from the Llewelling Vineyard. This wine was aged 18 months in French oak, 60% new and it begins with gorgeous aromas of ripe blackberries and cassis woven together with spices, graphite, licorice and mocha that all developing in the glass. On the palate this possesses a rich, opulent texture, with beautifully polished tannins. It displays notable depth and concentration through the long supple finish. This is simply delicious now and should continue to drink well for a decade. A gorgeous wine made my Dave Phinney.
