The 2015 Darioush 'Signature' Merlot is a blend of 94% Merlot 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and touch of Malbec, sourced from Mt. Veeder, Oak Knoll and estate property. Everything was harvested separately and then blended before bottling. This takes on aromas of cassis, hoisin sauce, black tea and green bell pepper. The palate shows tremendous weight, yet nicely lifted, underlined by bright acidity. Flavors red cherry compote, red bell pepper, wild blackberry and black tea all beautifully combine. Showing amazing range, this is a fantastic wine that will cellar well over the next two decades.
