The 2015 La Jota Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is a yet another wonderful release in this vintage. It slowly begins to unwind it releases seductive aromas of red currants and blueberries woven together with sweet spices, dark chocolate, freshly turned earth, graphite, floral and hints of wild herbs all developing in the glass. On the palate this full-bodied with outstanding overall structure backed by gorgeous polished tannins. It possesses excellent depth and concentration and layers of ripe red and dark fruits come together with a mix of dark chocolate, earthy, spices and graphite which continue to build through the long, supple finish. Overall this is a stunning wine, with a wonderful sense of place, as the Mountain Terroir shines through beautifully. While this is already outstanding it also possesses the potential to age for many years to come.
