The Fleur de Lis Vineyard is located on the west-facing slope of the Evenstad Estate, near the Mark Bradford Vineyard. This great wine was aged for 17 months in 50% French oak prior to bottling in March of 2017. Red fruits and citrus rind mingle with oaky undertones on the nose. The palate has a gorgeous silky mouthfeel and wonderful texture, with red currant jelly, red cherry preserves and blood orange zest flavors all coming together. This is a very pretty Pinot Noir, considering the heat of the vintage. Sensational now, however I can certainly imagine this will continue to evolve beautifully for many years to come.
