The 2014 Hundred Acre 'Wraith' Cabernet Sauvignon is a tour de force in Napa wine. The wine is a barrel selection blend of the all three Hundred Acre single vineyards. This majestic wine starts off with incredibally compelling aromatics of crème de cassis, mocha, black olive tapenade and smoky undertones which add even further complexity. It continues to impress with remarkable textural richness and beautifully polished, silky tannins which glide effortlessly through the mid-palate. Flavors of crème de cassis, cigar ash, black forest cake and roasted coffee all beautifully amalgamate and leave a lasting impression as this displays tremendous length on the finish. Overall, this is an absolutely thrilling Cabernet Sauvignon, however readers should plan on allowing this at least a few more years of bottle age before it begins to show its best stuff.
