The Acumen Peak is a selection go the very best blocks and barrel lots from the Attelas and Edcora Vineyards. It is composed of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Merlot. It begins with aromas of fresh blackberries and dark plums come together with Asian spices, vanilla bean, spring florals and hints of tobacco all coming together beautifully in the glass. Full-bodied and remarkably well structured, with wonderful concentration. It continues to impress with as it shows wonderful freshness and and depth through the ultra-long finish. While this certainly displays excellent potential, it will require significantly more time to develop and soften then the single vineyard wines from Acumen, which will be accessible much earlier. Nonetheless less this is a fantastic wine which will go on to evolve beautifully for well over a decade.
