The 2017 ‘Clos du Chapitre’ is a simply delightful Beaujolais which was sourced from a single parcel in Saint-Amour. It was then vinified in concrete and aged in a combination of steel and neutral oak for six months. The wine itself shows a wonderful elegant character, as it beings with inviting aromas of red berries, pomegranate, red plums, spices, white pepper, florals and wet stones all taking shape. On the palate this is beautifully balanced with wonderful freshness and beautifully pure fruits all leading up the the precise finish. This gorgeous wine is already drinking simply fantastic and it will be fun to watch it evolve over the next few years if you can keep any around.
