The 2016 Château Fortia Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Tradition' opens to aromas of cherries and cassis which are woven together with exotic spices, minerals and wild herbs which all develop in the glass. On the palate this possesses a lovely soft texture, with notable depth and a core of dark red fruit and spices which lead up to the velvety finish. This should begin to show its best after a few more years of bottle age.
