MAYACAMAS Cabernet Sauvignon, Mount Veeder 2010

The 2010 Mayacamas Cabernet Sauvignon is beginning to shape up nicely after some short-term cellaring. This gorgeous wine immediately beings to impress with its wonderful complex aromatics of red and dark currants, which come together graphite, herbs, florals and spices all coming together beautifully. On the palate this shows wonderful balance of fruit and acidity, as it also displays remarkable overall balance and precision all the way through the sleek finish. While this is certainly showing well now, it is only beginning to enter the prime of evolutionary phase. Overall, this is an absolutely striking bottle of Cabernet and represents a wonderful classic style of Napa Valley winemaking.
