Ojai's Sans Soufre Ajoute, is a blend of 50/50 Grenache and Syrah from John Sebastiano Vineyard, and as is sulfate free as the name states. As this slowly unwinds in the glass it begins to release aromas of black raspberries and cherry liquor, exotic spices, lavender, herbs and hints of incense all develop beautifully. On the palate this possesses a medium-plus body with an seamless texture, along with notable overall balance and concentration. This fresh and with a core of gorgeous ripe red and dark fruits that expands seamlessly through the silky finish. Outstanding today, but also possesses the potential to age nicely over the course of the next decade.
