This outstanding Chardonnay from Gavin Chanin is made from old vines out of Sanford & Benedict vineyard. It instantly impresses beautiful aromatics of pear, white peach, orchard fruits, along with crushed stone and flinty matchstick. On the palate this has brilliant acidity backed by flavors of fresh cut apples and stone fruits. While this is absolutely sensational today, it should also show beautifully with some short-term cellaring.
