The Cayuse Windowmaker is a beautiful offering in 2018. A classic expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, this begins with striking aromatics of cherries and blackberries woven together with graphite, crème de cassis, tar, fresh violet, crushed stones, dark chocolate, and traces of dried herbs all taking shape. On the palate this is flat-out gorgeous, possessing a medium-plus body along with a silky and refined texture and remarkably elegant structure. It goes on to impress as it effortlessly glides across the palate, displaying incredible balance and finesse leading up to the long, plush finish. Winemaker Christophe Baron has crafted a simply sensational Cabernet Sauvignon, which is already drinking beautifully, and has all the signs for a wonderful evolution ahead.
