The 2021 Artalade Montagna Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from AxR is excellent. This is simply stunning, as it begins with profound aromas of ripe black currants and blueberry compote woven together with exotic spices, loam, espresso, graphite and sweet oak nuances that all explode from the glass. On the palate this full-bodied and layered, showing incredible depth and concentration. It possesses a dense mouth coating texture marked with flavors of dark and blue fruits along with sweet spices that persist throughout. Voluptuous and layered, this goes on leave a bold impression through a long multi-dimensional finish. This is fabulous wine which is utterly simple delicious today, yet should go on to provide years of drinking pleasure.
