The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is an absolutely stunning effort from Lisini. It immediately begins to impress from the second the cork is pulled, delivering beautiful aromas of fresh ripe blackberries and dark plums which are woven together with an array of nuances including sweet spices, dried floral, leather, fresh herbs, mint and a hint of vanilla. On the palate this demonstrates wonderful purity and finesse with the perfect balance of fruit and acidity. It is all wrapped up in a beautiful fine, silky texture that carries on all the way through the long, pretty finish making it impossible to resist. This Brunello shows remarkable elegance and class, and even at this early stage it is truly amazing, however it also shows great ageing potential as well. A superb showing in this amazing vintage.
