The Caprili Brunello di Montalcino is a terrific effort in 2010. It delivers wonderful aromas of dark cherries and plums mixed together with floral, licorice and a touch of savory herbs which immediately jump from the glass. This is full-bodied Sangiovese Grosso is wonderfully balanced, backed by velvety tannins and a supple texture that shows excellent depth. Everything is wrapped up on the long finish which leaves behind layers of flavors. Today, this wines forward style makes it quite accessible. (Best 2016-2027) - February, 2015 (JD)
