This 2011 Refosco is already showing so much character, with ripe dark cherries, blackberries, spices, fresh herbs, eucalyptus, spring flowers, graphite and wet stones, bursting from the glass. It has a lovely velvety texture, with well-integrated tannins, demonstrating excellent structure and balance with wonderful underling acidity through the core. Even at this early stage there is so much to like here, but that being said, this is ultimately and age-worthy wine that will benefit from additional bottle age. (Best 2016-2030) - March, 2015 (JD)
