The 2011 Barolo from Azelia delivers wonderful fresh aromas of red plum and wild red berries mixed together with sweet spices, licorice and floral notes. It possesses excellent overall balance, focus and finesse while ending with a refined finish. This is showing well today and should continue to evolve with a few more years of bottle age. This comes from Azelia's vineyards in Serralunga and Castiglione di Faletto. (Best 2016-2026) - June, 2015 (JD)
