A blend of 50% Grenache 31% Syrah and 19% Mourvedre from the Paderewski Vineyard and the 2012 will be Big Basin's third and final vintage of this cuvée. It has a sexy nose of crushed raspberries, blueberries, black tea, exotic spices, lavender, followed up by black pepper, hints of mint and forest floor. It is big and expressive on the palate with lots of dense and concentrated fruits. The finish is long, with dark fruits, indian spices, and dark chocolate lingering. Drinking well now, but will benefit from some additional bottle age. (Best 2017-2026) - June, 2015 (MD)
