2012 Gramercy Cellars ‘The Third Man’ is the only Grenache dominant wine of the group, comprised of 57% Grenache, along with 38% Syrah and 5% Mourvédre. Winemakers Greg Harrington and Brandon Moss have chosen limited new oak treatment in this cool combination of esteemed vineyards (Alder Ridge, Olsen and Les Collines). As this opens it releases perfumed aromas of raspberry, strawberry, red cherry followed by lavender and black tea. It possesses lovely fruit flavors on the palate with juicy raspberry and strawberry alongside some notes of prune. The wonderful minerality, vibrant acidity and complex layers of flavors make this very appealing and hard to resist now. One of the best Washington GSM blends you will come across from this fantastic vintage. (Best 2015-2022) - August, 2015 (OB)
