GRAMERCY CELLARS Syrah 'Lagniappe' 2012

The 2012 Gramercy Cellars 'Lagniappe' Syrah is a 100% Syrah from Red Willow, Oldfield and Minick vineyards in Columbia Valley and comes in at a relatively moderate 14.2% alcohol. The wine instantly opens with wonderful aromas of smoke, blackberry, black olive, tar and mushroom, which all come together beautifully. There is a fantastic earthy quality to the wine, followed by a velvety mouth feel with flavors of blackberry, black cherry and black olive which carry over on to the finish where it shows notable richness and acidity, indicative of this great vintage.
