The ‘La Villa’ is absolutely gorgeous in 2011, this traditional style Barolo opens with pretty aromas of red fruits and strawberries woven together with licorice, rose petal and wet stones which all come together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this shows a bit more depth then the classic Barolo backed by a silky, polished texture. It shows wonderful balance all the way through the long finish, where it delivers another dose of juicy red fruits which turn dry and grip a firm hold. (Best 2016-2028) - August, 2015 (JD)
