CHARLES SMITH WINE Malbec 'Broncho' 2012

The 2012 Malbec 'Broncho' comes from Stoneridge vineyard, located in the northeast corner of Wahluke Slope AVA. This is a warm growing site with a ton of wind, which naturally controls vigor and reduces yields. The wine itself has a dark and inky color, with rich aromatics of milk chocolate, blackberry, dried sagebrush and and prune. There are flavors of black cherry, black olive, blackberry cobbler and sage that carry on through the finsh. This is dense and delicious, one of the best of its kind in Washington.
