EVENING LAND Pinot Noir 'La Source' 2013

2015 TOP 100 WINES | Rank #57

The Seven Springs Vineyard 'La Source' Pinot Noir is sourced from vines planted at the highest part of the hill, where the vines have the most exposure to the wind and where the soils are their shallowest. It saw 30% new French oak barrels for 16 months prior to bottling. This wine begins with aromas reminiscent of mushroom, cran-orange and red cherry. There are flavors of red cherry, raspberry and mushroom with a lively minerality. This has excellent structure and weight. The Pinot has a memorable, 30 plus second finish as this wine doesn't stop. One of the best efforts I've had from this estate. (Best 2015-2028) - November, 2015 (OB)
