The 2012 ‘Animo’ Cabernet Sauvignon from Michael Mondavi is an outstanding effort which is already showing excellent. This excellent Cabernet Sauvignon comes from vineyards situated in the rocky, volcanic soils atop Altas Peak. As this begins to open it releases wonderful aromas of cherries and currants followed by dried herbs and tobacco along with dusty minerals. On the palate this is full-bodied, beautifully balanced and well structured through the finish. (Best 2016-2028) - December, 2015 (JD)
